Practice Chanters
All Practice Chanters made by ROS are tuned to
match the tonal intervals of the Great Highland Bagpipe.
The
tuning is based on the scale defined in Piobaireachd
(BBC Publication) Pg. 26 by Seumas McNeill
and the intervals given by John A McClellan in
his book from 1982.
All Practice Chanter are delivered with two special made
Cane Practice Chanter reeds made to suit the customers
wish of tonal quality e.g. mellow- or sharp sound.
The chanter itself can be ordered high- medium- or low
pitched in the range from 450 to 480 Hz for the high A.
